On the 26th July, 2016 I had the pleasure of photographing Linda & Doug’s wedding at Newland Hall in Chelmsford, Essex.
I arrived at the venue before the bridal party. As Linda arrived she was in the passenger seat of the car holding her handbag over her face, just in case her soon to be husband hadn’t left yet.
Photographing Weddings is such a blessing. I always find I care so much about the bride and groom even when I have just met them. I have known Linda for a couple of years now so being able to be there while she prepared for her big day was extra special.
Linda’s daughter Carly had gone above and beyond with the lovely gifts she had bought for her mum. Carly is a friend of mine, watching her walk her mum down the aisle was really special.
All the guests were amazing. We had great fun doing the formal shots and they made my life so easy (thank you if any of you are reading this).
Doug and Linda didn’t want to do anything too posed. I always tell my couples my favourite shots are always the natural ones. Normally the shot before or after the pose. Newland Hall has lots of fantastic locations for pictures so it’s a wedding photographers dream.
I left the reception as everyone sat down for a beautiful afternoon tea. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the lovely couple again and wish you all the happiness in the world.
